Sustainability: a central pillar of our operations
We believe that people are those truly responsible for the transformation of our world. For this reason, a great deal of our focus is on the well-being of the communities in which we operate. We support and actively participate in cultural, educational, environmental, urbanization and health initiatives, significantly contributing to the improvement of life quality in the city of Araxá, in the state of Minas Gerais, and in the entire country.
We consider our team of professionals to be our most valuable asset. For this reason, it is part of our corporate culture to value people and care for the environment in which everyone performs their duties. Ensuring a safe and healthy workplace with opportunities for professional development is part of our commitment to the well-being of our employees and their families.
Since the beginning of our operations, we have adopted a thorough management method and prioritization of best practices with regard to the environment. This has enabled us to be the first company in the world in our sector to obtain the ISO 14001 certification.
Our environmental management system is focused on sustainable development practices that seek to ensure strict compliance with the legislation, continuous improvement of environmental performance and optimization of natural resources. With excellence in every detail, more than 950 operational controls related to the environmental aspects of our operations have already been implemented.
Environmental Development Center
An important part of our environmental activities is dedicated to conservation and awareness-raising. Our Environmental Development Center, which occupies an area of 25,000 square meters in our industrial complex, is where fauna and flora management activities are carried out, as well as educational activities. In order to preserve biodiversity, our specialists work on research, management and reproduction projects for plants and animals in the Cerrado, guaranteeing the protection of native species in this biome.
